ADTEP Contract Faculty & Instructor Lana Hanson, DMD

I was born and raised in the foothills of Mt. Rainier in Washington State. With one parent in Washington and one parent in Oregon, I was half Washingtonian and half Oregonian from a young age. Growing up in the PNW fostered a deep love and appreciation for nature and great outdoor adventures. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Oregon, Go Ducks! I received my Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree at Oregon Health & Science University and upon graduation relocated to Bethel, AK to work for the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation. I work as a general dentist in the YK Delta in addition to being an DHAT instructor. I am passionate about public health dentistry and am honored to get to take part in the education and training of Dental Health Aid Therapists who will then go on and serve the regions of Alaska and beyond.
