Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
This privacy policy explains what information the Health Aides of Alaska website collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. This website serves the Health Aides of Alaska programs (the Community Health Aide Program, Behavioral Health Aide Program, and Dental Health Aide Program), which are managed by the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC), and the Community Health Aide Program Certification Board, which certifies Health Aides. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean ANTHC, the Health Aides of Alaska programs, and the Certification Board.
This website is for information about Health Aide training, certification, and resources. It is not used to provide health care, and you should not send personal health information through this website.
Information you give us
We collect information you choose to submit through forms on this site, such as:
- Contact forms (Community Health Aide, Behavioral Health Aide, Dental Health Aide, and CHAP Certification Board): your name, email address, phone number if provided, and your message.
- Award nominations (such as the Dental Health Aide Star Awards and Shining Star Awards): your contact details and the information you provide about the person you are nominating.
- Committee and member logins: if you have an account for a secure committee page, we store your username, email address, and password (stored in encrypted form).
We use this information only to respond to you, to review nominations, and to give committee members access to their materials. Form submissions are stored on our website and sent by email to the program staff responsible for that form.
Information collected automatically
- Server and security logs: like most websites, our hosting provider and security tools record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the date and time of each visit. We use these logs to keep the site secure and working properly.
- Cookies: the site uses cookies that are needed for it to work, such as cookies that keep committee members signed in. The accessibility tool on this site may store your display preferences (for example, text size or contrast) in your browser so they are remembered on your next visit.
- Website analytics: we use Google Analytics, through Google’s Site Kit tool, to understand how visitors use the site in general, such as which pages are visited most. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location (city or region), and device type. We do not use this information to identify you. You can learn how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:
- with ANTHC staff and program partners who need it to respond to your request or review your nomination;
- with service providers who host, secure, back up, or analyze this website for us, and only for those purposes;
- when required by law, or to protect the safety and security of our users, staff, or website.
Links to other websites
This site links to other websites and services, such as online course catalogs, registration forms, and partner organizations. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information. Certification applications and course registrations are handled through those separate systems.
How long we keep information
We keep form submissions and account information only as long as needed for the purpose they were collected for, or as required by our records policies. Log and analytics data are kept for limited periods and then deleted or anonymized.
Security
We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards to protect information on this website, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, restricted access to secure pages, and regular backups. No website can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children
This website is intended for Health Aides, students, supervisors, and the public. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
