DESCRIPTION:The Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault training scheduled for November 30 – December 3 has been postponed until after the holidays.  The new dates for this training will be posted as soon as they are set and confirmed.\n  \n  \n  \nFor Session III and above CHAs: The Anchorage CHAP Training Center\, along with Alaska Legal Services and Tundra Women’s Coalition\, specialized training in domestic violence and sexual assault for Community Health Aides at the Session III level and above. \nThe training will be in two sessions:\nThe first session will be held from November 30 through December 3\, 2021.\nThe second session will be held in December 2022. \nParticipating health aides will have to attend both sessions to qualify for a specialty certificate that will be given. Burn injuries may require long-term management of wound care\, pain\, scarring\, and physical/occupational therapy. \nIn Alaska\, burn injuries are cared for in many clinics\, emergency departments\, and hospitals. Due to the critical nature of some severe burn injuries\, they may require transfer to a state or regional trauma/burn center. Appropriate and timely care for these severe burn injuries are critical to survival and good outcomes. \nThis ECHO facilitates a multidisciplinary approach to burn and soft tissue injury management through shared learning between primary care providers and interdisciplinary specialists that support patients across Alaska.
