Program Description - APU Community Health Certificate
The APU Community Health Certificate is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver primary and emergency health care as Community Health Aides in rural Alaskan villages under the remote medical supervision of a physician. Student in the program must be employed by a Tribal Health Organization.
Students completing the Certificate can apply for admission to the AAS in Community Health or any other associate or bachelor's level degree program. Courses completed throuh the Certificate can apply to associate or bachelor's level requirements.
