Other Training Opportunities
To improve medication safety and follow recommendations of the Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP), the eCHAM medicine dose charts will show patient weights in kilograms (kg) instead of pounds (lb). We will address the use of “pounds” and “inches” throughout the eCHAM at the same time, to better align with the standard measures currently used in health care.
We recognize that many people are less familiar with the Metric System than the English System of measurement. To increase familiarity and decrease the chance of errors, we recommend review of the following resources, as we develop continuing education for Community Health Aides/Practitioners.
